Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how CodeGuard Host LLC handles information across the OpenFoxy website, accounts, official desktop software, local AI features, optional Cloud, sharing, advertising, billing, support, and security operations.
Local AI and privacy boundaries
Supported local inference is designed to run on your own computer. Account authentication, updates, device coordination, sharing, advertising eligibility and measurement, billing, support, and optional Cloud may still communicate with OpenFoxy services as necessary.
We use the phrase private by design rather than claiming the entire OpenFoxy service is completely private.
Information we may collect
- Account data: email address, verification status, account role, settings, and account-security records.
- Device/service data: supported hardware class, application/Node version, capability status, heartbeat information, and operational diagnostics.
- Usage and security data: login events, service requests, fraud signals, rate-limit events, audit records, and feature interactions.
- Billing data: transaction references, balances, invoices, campaign charges, and payment status.
- Support data: communications and information you choose to provide.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, route supported services, deliver updates, operate sharing and Cloud features, administer billing, prevent abuse, support users and advertisers, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability.
Advertising privacy
OpenFoxy Ads is designed around current-request context and coarse geographic eligibility rather than a persistent historical advertising-interest profile. Advertisers do not receive your private conversation history.
Optional Cloud
If you choose OpenFoxy Cloud, information required to perform hosted AI processing must be transmitted to and processed by the Cloud service. Cloud processing has different privacy boundaries from fully local inference.
When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers acting on our behalf, payment processors, infrastructure providers, professional advisers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to provide services, protect rights and security, investigate abuse, enforce agreements, or comply with law.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and audit requirements.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect OpenFoxy-operated systems and data. No security control or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other handling of certain personal information. You can also revoke active conversation-share links.
Children
OpenFoxy is not intended for children below the minimum age required to independently consent to personal-information processing in their jurisdiction.
Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, and service architecture evolve.
